Final Shoot Thoughts/Title Ideas

I am so excited to have finished my shoots today! Me and my digital photographer Jack Valpy visited two people, Jack and JC, again both within very close proximity of each other. This got me thinking again about the location link of all people photographed for the project. "Polygon" is the name of this small student orientated area of Southampton and I think it may be a simple yet effective title for my zine. The print could then also feature a map of the area, with each person's home (where they were photographed) crossed out.

I was left feeling more pleased than ever with the first shoot of the day. As shoots have continued, I think myself and my photographer's approach has too continued to improve... We know making little fuss over the images whilst I keep the atmosphere light and the day moving makes for the less dull, posed and awkward outcomes! I noticed today how well we work as a team on location for this project, aware of what we hope to achieve from the shoots. Jack was a really interesting character to shoot in particular, as he has certain quirky qualities and is super relaxed. This made for interesting, sometimes random but varied, natural shots. I'm also looking forward to reviewing his disposable images, as he seemed really keen to get involved!

The second and last person of the day we photographed was JC. However, this atmosphere was much more rigid and it was difficult to get individual shots due to how many people surrounded him in the house. However, there were a few images I am pleased with and it's always good to have extra shoots ready to go!

Next step: Edit through all images (including any missed ones from past shoots) and aim to collect all disposable within the next week.
