In my presentation today I felt it was important to outline my journey so far as so much has changed from the beginning and I felt it would be really beneficial to hear back after explaining what it is I'm focussing on as a concept right now. I started preparing for the presentation by writing out a brief step-by-step and my thoughts on each, starting from my initial proposal ideas:

In my room: Teenagers in their bedrooms
I've just come across this 1995 series whilst researching further for project inspiration and it has clear relevance to my imagery and direction thus far. Though an awkwardness/posed approach is obvious through the shots which I hope to bypass and go in a much more natural, interesting direction for my own... I still love the nostalgic aesthetic, the insight into personal spaces (bedrooms) and the combination of youth, fashion and reality.

Mentor Meeting 2
In today's meeting I went through all of this week's research, including CJ Clarke's series and my family photos. I also mentioned various vague ideas that have stemmed from this and my plans for next Thursday's shoot...

Shoot 1 Prep
Hoping to spark a more refined idea, I proceeded to plan my first shoot. I felt most comfortable starting my shoot experiments with a youth, fashion influenced, editorial basis (as initially discussed in my proposal). However, I plan to keep my open mind whilst shooting, exploring as many ideas as I can to then review in my next mentor meeting. Hopefully, some aspects of the shoot can then be drawn out and focussed on more clearly, allowing a specific and in-depth concept to grow, ideally somewhat combining my interests explored thoroughly in my proposal of class representation, youth and style.
